Zamp 1.3 Release Notes

Important, about the samples and the presets:
The presets are for the single out version only but they are easy to replicate for
the multi-outs version.
The samples are in a folder named "zamp". This folder is located in the main folder
"zamp_v1.3". This had to be done in order to have the 4 presets included work on any
computer. You do not have to put your own samples there. If you make presets using
your samples, the path to your samples will be saved with your presets. This will be
the exact path, for instance:
E:\your samples\mydrums\kickme01.wav
When the samples are located in the "zamp" folder itself located in the main folder
"zamp_v1.3", the path that is saved with the presets is only a relative path,
like: mydrums\kickme01.wav. This means that you can share your presets with someone else
as long as they have the same samples in their "zamp" folder.

New in 1.3:
- Added multi-mode filters.

- Amp/pitch envelopes are now independant to each wavplayer.

- Changed 'pitch' envelope to 'mod' envelope, which can modulate pitch or filters.

- Fixed playback of stereo waves.

New in 1.2:
- Root note is now selectable for each wavplayer, default is C3. There are 2 selectors,
one for the octave and one for the note. Selectors are active only when the Key button
is activated.

- Has the new wavplayer from David Haupt. It can now loads 16-bit and 24-bit stereo and
mono PCM WAVE files recorded at any sample rate.

- Increased sample content in the 3 existing categories: Drums, Julie's collections and
Prepared Rhodes. New category added, Marching Band Horn with a few presets to showcase the
selectable root note.

New in 1.1:
- Added randomizers for each wavplayer, they are accessed by clicking one of the four 'screws'
around the name

- Added pitch env levels per wavplayer

----------------------------------------------------------

Zamp is a simple sample player, it can load and play 3 wav files simultaneously. It was
exclusively designed for Les Productions Zvon by Psychic Modulation and is based on their
Cortex drum sampler. There are 2 DLLs included, "zamp-mo.dll" is a multi-out version where
each of the 3 samples can be assigned to one of the 3 stereo outs. The "zamp.DLL" has only
one stereo out shared by the 3 samples.

Zamp is best suited for drums/percussion and one-shot samples. To get more information about
it, ask questions and stay updated, visit our support forum on KVRaudio:

We will also post some tutorials with audio examples, even though Zamp is pretty basic, it
can do some pretty interesting things.

Don't forget to check our samplesets, all have free demos that can be downloaded from our website
and, of course, they can be used in Zamp. Only a few are included with Zamp to keep the file size
to a minimum. The one named "Wavefile.wav" is only silence.

Explanation of the randomizers:

The first knob randomizes the start/end positions, meaning the higher the knob, the more both
position times will be randomized back and forth. To get the most from this particular effect,
depends on how close the start position is to the end position, the farther apart, or longer
the sample, the harder it is to hear it. And the closer together, or shorter the sample, the
more noticeable the effect.

The second knob randomizes the direction, meaning the reverse button. The higher the knob, the
more the sample's direction is modulated, almost like scratching a record back and forth, except
more robotically, and without pitch change.

The third knob is for the pitch, and has the most noticeable effect, randomizing the pitch from
slightly to drastically.

The rate selectors control the speed of the randomization of all three parameters in that row.
The overall effect of the randomization of all three parameters can sound different depending
on the settings of all three controls and their rate. Used subtly it can give slight variations
to the sound, whereas all three knobs turned to the max can have extreme and bizarre effects.
